Allderdice’s defense led the way on the night. Recording three defensive scores. Robert Brown Jr opened the scoring with a 20 yard fumble return for a touchdown. In the second quarter, Cordae Weems doubled the lead with a 90 yard interception return for a TD. Terrell James added a 2 yard TD run to extend the lead to 21-0 halftime lead.

In the third quarter, USO scored on two long TD passes, one for 33 yards and one for 60 yards from Smalls. USO then recovered a botched punt snap by Allderdice but was only able to convert it into a 23 yard field goal.

Trailing 21-15, USO had the ball driving deep into Allderdice territory after another interception. However, on 4th and 6, Terrell James stepped in front of a Smalls pass and raced 87 yards for the clinching score. Allderdice would hold on for the final seconds, winning 27-15.
