PJP II Places Four on 4A Writers All State Team

The 2023 season was historic for the Pope John Paul II Golden Panthers. They went 12-1 capturing their first PAC Championship and then capturing the District 1 4A championship. On Friday the PA Football Writers Class 4A All-State Team named four Golden Panthers to the team, Boyd Skarbek, Braden Reed, Kevin Heywood, and TJ Boccella.
Boyd Skarbek: The senior rushed for 1901 yards and 28 touchdowns including a 221-yard 4 touchdown performance in the PAC Championship game against Springford.
Bradem Reed: The junior caught 55 passes for 1093 yards and 14 touchdowns.
Kevin Heywood: The senior Wisconsin commit anchored the Golden Panther’s offensive line allowing their offense to rush for over 171 yards per game
TJ Boccella: The senior was a terror for opposing offenses from his DE spot leading the team with 89 tackles including 35 for a loss. He also led the team with 13 sacks.
