Tagged under: District 1, News, pfn, Playoffs
Cody Brady | November 20, 2025
When: Friday, November 21, 7:00
Where: Helman Field
Who: Pennridge Rams(12-1) v North Penn Knights(11-2)
Last Meeting: 34-10 Pennridge on September 19 – The Rams led 6-3 at the half before breaking away down the stretch, defeating the Knights for the first time in 13 years.
What’s at Stake: Pennridge is seeking its first ever District 1 title, while North Penn is looking for its first since 2003 and third overall. The winner will face either Parkland or LaSalle College HS in the state semifinals next weekend.
The Matchup: Noah Keating is looking for a repeat performance from nine weeks ago, when he ran for three scores and threw for another, combining for over 200 all-purpose yards. Against Coatesville last week, the team did not reach the 200-yard mark and may have another defensive struggle on its hands. How well Will Dougherty, Sean Leuthe and Ryan Rowe perform will go a long way to deciding the game. Rowe suffered an injury against Coatesville last week and his status will be a big factor. Dougherty is also a threat on defense, along with Chase Clontz in the defensive backfield.
North Penn will be relying on a big game from Matt Bucksar and the three-headed monster in the backfield of Rylei Gray, Matt Pownall and Cam Mainor. Since their loss to the Rams back in September, North Penn has rattled off eight straight wins by an average margin of 25 points per game. Meanwhile, Pennridge has been battle tested by the likes of Plymouth-Whitemarsh, Central Bucks East and Coatesville and has been involved in nine games decided by 14 points or less.
