The other night Protime was dreaming a good one. He dreamt that he was a king of some country somewhere and was having lots of fun actually putting his ideas into effect. These days his ideas get lost in the shuffle. Anyhow, he hadn’t been officially crowned yet and he did something he thought was funny. All of a sudden, the queen (Mrs. Protime) started chasing him around the castle. Up and down the steps they went from the dungeon to the watch tower and through the kitchen. Protime was laughing and having a grand time thinking he was playing hard to get.
But as the chase went on, he noticed that Mrs. P, the queen, appeared to be serious. Starting to worry a bit, Protime decided he’d better find a place to hide. He ducked into a closet down a long hallway, sure that his chaser wouldn’t find him. It was at that moment he remembered that he’d offended the queen when he said she was growing outward. Then he heard the queen angrily mumble as she passed the closet, “I’m gonna crown King Protime when I find him.”
Well, PFN recently crowned Protime the regular season prognostication champion. Protime went 23-6 last week and is now 212-60 for the year which computes out to be a .779 correct picking percentage. Playoffs begin this week and here’s some pinpoint predictions from the Knight of Knowledge.
Hershey 7-3 @ Cocalico 7-3 – The Hershey Trojans do not throw the ball much. Instead, they like to pound the rock vis the ground game. Quarterback Cameron Sweeney leads the team in rushing with 1,001 yards and 8 touchdowns. Right behind him is RB Sean Elliott with 986 yards. Elliott is the leading scorer for the Trojans with 19 rushing TDs. Elliott and LJ Douglas are the top tacklers for Hershey.
Cocalico throws the ball even less than Herhey. They average almost 4 passes a game. The Eagles’ QB, Josh Myer, is second on the team in rushing with 1,025 yards. Dane Horning leads Cocalico with 1,033 yards. Myer has scored 11 touchdowns and Horning 8. Leading the Eagle ‘D’ is Horning with 98 tackles. His brother Logan is second on the team in tackles.
Protime has Cocalico coming away with the hard-earned win, 28-21.
West Allegheny 6-3 @ Thomas Jefferson 9-0 – The Indians of West Allegheny upset Montour last week and are looking for more. It would be a great notch in the ole tomahawk if they could scalp the Jags. West A is led by a couple of running backs, Brock Cornell and Roman Police. Cornell has trapsed around football fields for 920 yards and 9 TDs. Police has 689 yards and 10 touchdowns running the ball. Cornell is the team’s #1 tackler.
TJ has some real good offensive weapons in QB Luke Kosko, RB Tyler Eber, and WR Brayden White. Kosko has thrown for 1,469 yards and 17 TDs. He averages almost 18 yards per completion. Eber has rambled for 1,342 yards and 22 scores. White has hauled in 47 passes for 861 yards and 10 touchdowns. Placekicker Sam Wessel has been good on 49 of 51 PATs. Matt Martinis anchors a tough Jaguar defense.
Thomas Jefferson 34 West Allegheny 21.
North Schuylkill 7-3 @ Notre Dame Green Pond 9-1 – Do people outside of D11 know it was North Schuylkill that gave NDGP their only loss earlier in the year on a last second touchdown? The Spartans are looking to give Green Pond their only two losses of the year. Caden Mengal has thrown for over 1,200 yards and 13 TDs. The Spartan running back, Luke Miller, has over 1,200 yards rushing, scoring 20 TDs along the way. Kicker Gavin Mentzer can be a weapon as evidenced by his three field goals last week.
Notre Dame GP has the top quarterback in Pennsylvania in Matt Bodnar. Mr. Bodnar has pitched the pigskin for 3,793 yards and 36 touchdowns. He has a QB rating of 139. Bodnar does not have a favorite receiver, instead he has three. Cameron Diaz has 54 receptions for 1,001 yards and 12 TDs. WR Alex Clark has 39 grabs for 783 yards and 8 scores. Jonathan Striba has caught 46 passes for 691 yards and a half dozen TDs. Striba also leads the team with 7 rushing touchdowns. Mark Talpas has booted 64 extra points out of 65 tries. The Crusader defense has 17 interceptions led by Drew Boyd’s 5 picks. Christian Rivituso has 123 tackles.
Protime sees Notre Dame exacting some revenge by outscoring North Schuylkill 36-30.
