Protime Predictions – Protime at The Beach

Protime is heading to the beach!  He has his sun tan lotion, an umbrella, shorts, a muscle t-shirt, and his notebook.  His notebook?  Yes, he’s going to Ocean City, NJ to watch 14 high school football games in three days!  He will need sun screen for the sun, an umbrella if it rains, shorts for the warm afternoons, and the muscle shirt to show off his guns and to show the players he’s not just another old guy reporter.  Of course he needs a note pad to keep stats.

Protime is double teaming the Battle at the Beach with a top-notch photographer by the name of @Sykotyk who travels the country far and wide in search of new venues and new teams to watch.  To see 14 games in three days is a rarity, a once in a lifetime event and Protime anticipates he will need a week to recover.  Word on the street has it that Bill Belichick will make an appearance.  Wouldn’t that make a neat pic, one of the all-time great NFL coaches with one of the great all-time football prognosticators.

Here are this week’s predictions from your favorite football forecaster:

Pittsburgh Central Catholic 31 Pine-Richland 24 – A revenge game is what the PCC Vikings sees as the P-R Rams took them out last year.

Bishop McDevitt 17 Harrisburg 14 – This game is a trap for Protime.  McDevitt won against a decent Maryland team last week and Harrisburg lost to LaSalle and it wasn’t pretty.  The Harrisburg Cougars are definitely better than they showed, but is McDevitt that good?  Protime thinks the McDevitt kicker wins it for the Crusaders.

Cathedral Prep 28 Sharon 14 – Times have changed and Prep may not be as good as they once were.  The Sharon Tigers are pretty good and will make a game of it, but the Ramblers still know how to win.

Springfield-Delco 21 Marple-Newtown 14 – It’s gonna be a cat fight, but the Cougars of Springfield-Delco with outclaw theTigers of Marple-Newtown.

Clearfield 21 Forest Hills 17 – The Rangers upset the Bison last year, but this year the Clearfield Bison will have that on their mind as the successfully gore the Forest Hills Rangers.

Steelton-Highspire 32 Juniata 26 – The Rollers lost a bit from last year, but is it possible they just reloaded?  Time will tell.  Close game with the Juniata Indians.

Bethel Park 35 Mars 28 – Both teams did well last week and this week will come down to execution and a couple of plays.  The Blackhawks will eke out the win over the Fightin’ Planets.

Bonner-Prendie 25 Archbishop Ryan 17 – A good one from District 12 finds the Friers by eight over the Ryan Raiders.

Redbank Valley 28 Brockway 24 – A barn burner in District 9 will have Redbank defeating the Rovers who always seem to give the state ranked Bulldogs a fight.

Garnet Valley 27 Haverford 20 – The Fords sputter in the second half, and the Jaguars take advantage and go to 2-0 on the year.

Chestnut Ridge 36 Bellefonte 21 – The Lions bring the Red Raiders back to earth after Bellefonte beat Central last week.

Parkland 30 Bethlehem Freedom 20 – This one has the Trojans victorious over the Patriots.

Hickory 26 University Prep 12 – The Hickory Hornets sting University Prep.

Jersey Shore 22 Delaware Valley 21 – One of the best games of the week will find the Shore Bulldogs gambling and stealing the game from the Warriors.

Meyersdale 13 Glendale 7 – It looks like the Red Raiders will scalp the Vikings.

Owen J. Roberts 28 Pottsgrove 17 – The Wildcats ground the Falcons.

California 44 Cornell 38 – Lots of scoring predicted here with the Trojans a score better than the Raiders.

Dallas 28 Wyoming Area 26 – This one can go either way, but Protime flipped a coin and it had the Mountaineers triumphing over the Warriors.

Karns City 33 Brookville 28 – A slobber knocker of a game will end with a KC Gremlin victory over the Blue Raiders of Brookville.

Marian Catholic 16 Tri-Valley 15 – Another one point contest sees the Colts coming out on top of the Bulldogs.

Towanda 20 Hughesville 14 – In a duel reminiscent of medieval times, the Black Knights hand the Spartans of Hughesville their first loss of the year.

Lakeview 20 Mercer 8 – The Sailors corral the Mustangs.

Selinsgrove 24 Twin Valley 21 – The Seals stop the Raiders in a tight one.

Hollidaysburg 27 Taylor Allderdice 7 – The Golden Tigers slay the Dragons.

Avonworth 35 West Mifflin 25 – The Antelopes run past the Titans.
