Kutztown 34 East Stroudsburg 27
Quarterback Judd Novak threw four touchdown passes to four different receivers and the defense registered five sacks as the Golden Bears handed East Stroudsburg their first loss of the 2023 campaign to go to 2-0 in PSAC play. Warriors quarterback Sean McTaggart threw for 227 yards and three touchdowns.
Gannon 23 Seton Hill 6
Golden Knights Running backs Donny Marcus and Nate Mikell each had a rushing touchdown and Chris Farnsworth recorded two interceptions on defense. Charles Calhoun added two sacks on defense as Gannon went to 2-0 PSAC West play by defeating Seton Hill. The Griffins’ Wyatt Schussler recorded an interception on defense.
Shepherd 30 Shippensburg 23
Rams Quarterback Seth Morgan threw for 254 yards and two touchdowns and Jack Baxter and Matt Bednarski each added two sacks each as Shepherd went to 4-1 on the season with a victory over Shippensburg. Raiders quarterback Sam Stoner had two rushing touchdowns.
Slippery Rock 42 IUP 21
The Rock running back Khalid Dorsey rushed for 123 yards and three touchdowns. The defense added three interceptions as 12th ranked Slippery Rock went to 5-0 and 2-0 in the PSAC West. Crimson Hawks quarterback Karst Hunter rushed for 88 yards and two touchdowns.
Lock Haven 38 Millersville 31
Bald Eagles running back Chris Collier rushed for 82 yards and three touchdowns and Danny Sanchez threw for 203 yards and two touchdowns as Lock Haven took a close victory over Millersville. Marauders quarterback Robert Footman Jr threw for 329 yards and three touchdowns.
Edinboro 40 Mercyhurst 24
Fighting Scots Running back Brian Trobel rushed for 140 yards and three touchdowns and Matt Carlisle added 125 yards and a touchdown on the ground as Edinboro went to 1-1 in the PSAC West with a win over Mercyhurst. Lakers quarterback Adam Urena threw for 322 yards and two touchdowns.
West Chester 24 Bloomsburg 21 (OT)
Rams kicker Sean Henry kicked a 34 yard field goal in overtime and Cooper Jordan and Brody McAndrew each added a rushing touchdown as West Chester got past Bloomsburg in overtime. Huskies running back Kaleb Monaco rushed for 108 yards and a touchdown.
California (PA) 37 Clarion 7
Vulcans quarterback Davis Black threw for 287 yards and three touchdowns and wideout Eric Willis III had eight catches for 120 yards and a touchdown as California took the victory over Clarion. Golden Eagles running Zach Benedek rushed for 71 yards and a touchdown.
