Seven District 2 Players Make 4A All-State Writer’s Team

Seven players made the Pennsylvania Writer’s All-State Team in 4A. Players that made the 4A from District 2 are Dallas wideout Zach Paczewski and kicker Rowan Laubach. Nanticoke running back Zach Fox and defensive end Jaidyn Johnson. Wyoming Area running back Aaron Crossley, Valley View Linebacker Gianni Marino. North Pocono kicker Brady Mapes which gave District 2 both spots for kickers.

Aaron Crossley rushed for 1,802 yards and 27 touchdowns for Wyoming Area who won the WVC Division 2 Championship and a trip to the District Semifinals. Zack Fox rushed for 1,877 yards and 25 touchdowns in Nanticoke’s run to the District Semifinals. Jaidyn Johnson was a standout on Nanticoke’s defensive line for three years. He recorded an astounding 25 sacks on the season with five pass deflections, 6 blocked punts, and three fumble recoveries. Valley View Gianni Marino had 135 tackles with 11 of them going for loss. He also had 2.5 sacks on the season to lead the team to the District Final. North Pocono’s Brady Mapes went a perfect 10 for 10 in field goal attempts and went 17 for 18 on extra points. Dallas kicker Rowan Laubach made an outstanding 62 out of 64 extra points and made five out of six field goals for the State Runner-Up. Mountaineers wideout Zach Paczewski had 57 catches for 1,039 yards and 13 touchdowns.
