St Joes Prep DL Maxwell Roy pledges commitment to Ohio State

Maxwell Roy a dominating 6-3 290lb defensive tackle for 2x defending PIAA 6A state champion St Joes Prep announced Monday evening his intentions to commit to Big Ten powerhouse program Ohio State University. At Ohio State he will join fellow SJP Hawk RB Isaiah West also a 2025 recruit who also recently pledged to the Buckeyes.
As a junior Maxwell racked up an impressive 47 tackles, 15.5 tackles for loss and 3 sacks from his defensive tackle position earning multiple honors including all state, all city and all league honors. Maxwell is also an accomplished wrestler for SJP qualifying for the PIAA state tournament after racking up 41 wins this past season earning all state and all American honors on the mat. Before choosing Ohio State he also considered Michigan and Rutgers.
