Landon Barlow Shines in week 0
Interboro took on Strath Haven Friday night in week zero. Here are some of the highlights from that 44-7 high-scoring game.
Interboro won the toss and deferred to the second half. Strath Haven had nothing going on their first drive, and Interboro had the first chance of the ball game. Interboro drove down 58 yards and had to settle for a field goal. Dempsey Lopez came set from 29 and went wide right on the Bucs’ first scoring chance. The door was wide open for Strath Haven.
Interboro puts together a good drive on their first offensive attempt in the quarter. But unfortunately for the Bucs, their field goal attempt was wide right. Keeping our score 0-0 with 1:13 left in the 1st quarter@PaFootballNews pic.twitter.com/xwqT44vhk6

The first quarter came to a close, and Strath Haven had the ball on their own 41-yard line.
The Panthers then put together a solid drive and were able to get down to the five-yard line. Finally, the Panthers put the ball in the end zone with a 5-yard rush from Landon Barlow. The Point after was good, and Haven led 7-0.
Our first score of the game forms from a Landon Barlow run. (The play so good it even tricked the me taking the video). The PAT was good. 7-0 Haven.@PaFootballNews pic.twitter.com/a9pSycKg9j

Interboro had a nice drive brewing following the Barlow TD, but ultimately Greyson LaFrance came down with a spectacular interception, leaving the Panthers in solid field position on their own 47-yard line.
Strath Haven then marched down the field, reaching the three-yard line before Interboro burned a timeout with 1:43 remaining in our first half.
The Panthers decided to stick with the run game, leaving Barlow a chance for his second TD. Barlow busted to the right side and found an opening, landing him in the end zone for a second time and Strath Havens’ second score on back-to-back drives. The PAT was good, and Haven led 14-0 with little time left in the first half.
TOUCHDOWN STRATH HAVEN. It’s Barlow again, another 3yd rush. And the PAT is GOOD. 14-0 Haven leads. 1:46 remains in the 2nd quarter@PaFootballNews pic.twitter.com/zX4m6Nf9UB

Haven kicked it off and gave Interboro nothing to work with, the Bucs, desperately trying to score, used their timeouts and eventually had to punt it away on fourth down in horrible field position.
Tyler Maier comes ready to punt it away, Interboro snaps the ball, and it goes high!! The punt sailed over Maier’s head, and despite great efforts, he was not able to land on it, but instead it was Strath Havens #57 Zach Milligan who scooped it up for the touchdown right before halftime. The PAT was good, and Haven extended their lead to 21 right before halftime.
Interboro has a few tough plays before they are forced to punt deep in their own zone. But the snap was high and Haven was able to recover for a TD. The PAT was GOOD. 21-0 Haven@PaFootballNews pic.twitter.com/c8SlmHPDaR

Interboro got the ball coming out of halftime but could get nothing going and had to punt it away to the Panthers.
Haven took back possession and brought the ball all the way down to the three-yard line in only 5 plays. Haven then decides to stick to what’s been working as they hand it off to Landon Barlow, who takes it out right once more and scores another touchdown. The PAT was good and the score became 28-0.

The Bucs then found themselves in yet another pickle, turning a three-and-out into more points for Strath Haven. Once again, the snap on the punt was high, but this time Maier decided to kick it out of the back of the end zone, resulting in a safety.
The Panthers would get the ball back thanks to the safety and would tack on another touchdown, but this time it would be Ryan Mudrick who broke free and took it 25 yards to the house. The PAT was good, and Haven led 37-0 over Interboro.
Interboro was looking for any sort of life, and they found it in this upcoming drive. They would go 62 yards in 11 plays before their first score of the game.
Momodu Rogers takes the snap in the shotgun, looks out left, and finds a receiver contested in the end zone in Roman McCrary. McCrary was able to shake off the defense and hold on for the Bucs’ first and final score of the contest. The PAT was good and the Bucs trailed 37-7.
Strath Haven wasn’t going down without one more explosion. On the very next play following the Bucs TD, Yosef Ali found himself breaking through and going the distance for an 80-yard touchdown. This sealed the deal for Strath Haven, who would hold on to beat Interboro 44-7.
