Roman Catholic Seniors WR/DB Eyan Stead and WR Ash Roberts both at the same time announced Wednesday afternoon that they are staying in the city of brotherly love and committing to hometown program Temple University which is just a mile north of the Roman campus.

Eyan a 5-10 180lb is a two-way star for Roman who is ranked 2nd in the state. This season so far he has 611 receiving yards, 8 touchdowns and defensively he has 25 tackles, 2 interceptions, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble and 1 fumble recovery.

Ash has accumulated a team high 632 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Eyan also held offers from Penn State, Bryant, and New Hampshire. Ash held offers from Alabama, Pittsburgh, Boston College, Michigan, Maryland, UConn, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Penn State before making the decision to stay home. Their teammate OL/DL Khalif McNear also recently pledged to Temple giving the Owls a strong base on Broad Street at Roman to possibly nab future high ranking recruits. Roman is currently preparing for their Catholic League 5A championship game in which they hope is a victory that propels them into the PIAA playoffs and they can capture their first state championship on the gridiron.
