The LHAC Power Index Week 3 Predictions

Current Records: Model – 15-5, Me – 17-3

Bald Eagle @ Penns Valley: Bald Eagle -23

Bald Eagle took a tough loss in Week 1 to Huntingdon and suffered a blowout at the hands of Penn Cambria in Week 2. Meanwhile, Penns Valley has lost to both BG and Central Cambria. Both teams are searching for their first wins of 2025, and personally, I believe Bald Eagle will win this game comfortably.

Bedford @ Central Cambria: Bedford -13

Bedford kept it close against a good Clearfield team, but lost 21-14. Central Cambria won by 2 over Penns Valley in Week 2, but had a tough offensive showing. I look for Bedford to win this game handily.

Bellwood-Antis @ Huntingdon: Bellwood -17

Huntingdon has been a huge surprise, starting the season 2-0 and blowing out Somerset. Bellwood entered 2025 with championship aspirations, and after a tough 2 weeks against Clearfield and McCort, Bellwood enters Week 3 tired. However, I am taking the Blue Devils to hand the Bearcats their first loss of 2025.

Greater Johnstown @ Somerset: Johnstown -1

This should be a sneaky good game as Somerset and Johnstown are both looking for their first wins of 2025. Johnstown is coming off a very tight game that they lost to Central on a last second touchdown. Somerset on the other hand is coming off of two straight blowout losses, to Penn Cambria and Huntingdon. I look for Johnstown to win this game, but it will be a tight one.

Bishop Guilfoyle @ Bellefonte: BG -10

Bishop Guilfoyle suffered their first setback of 2025 with a loss to Richland in a close game. BG also will be without their star RB Taurean Consiglio for this game. Bellefonte started off the season with a win over Tyrone, but were held scoreless againt Forest Hills. I am taking BG to win by a wide margin over the Red Raiders.

Bishop McCort @ Chestnut Ridge: McCort -23

McCort succeeded in their first test of the season last week, winning handily over Bellwood. Chestnut Ridge lost 20 – 14 to Philipsburg, having a tough offensive showing. I look for McCort to continue their hot start.

Penn Cambria @ Forest Hills: Penn Cambria -14

Penn Cambria has a favorable schedule in 2025, but this will be a definite road test for the Panthers. They started the season winning two straight games by 20+ points. Forest Hills has a high powered offense scoring 35 and 42 in their first two games. I think Penn Cambria will take the win here, but it will be their closest game yet.

Philipsburg-Osceola @ Clearfield: Clearfield -6

Philipsburg entered 2025 with high hopes, and their first two weeks have been very solid, blowing out Central and beating Chestnut Ridge by 6, but Clearfield stands in their way of staying undefeated. Clearfield righted the ship after a close week 1 loss by beating Bedford by 7. This will be my first disagreement with the model, as I am taking PO to continue their winning ways.

Tyrone @ Central: Tyrone -0.5

Tyrone and Central are bitter rivals, and the model shows that with essentially a 50% chance for either team to win. Tyrone scored 49 in their win over Westmont, while Central has struggled some offensively. On defense, both teams held their last opponent to 6 points. This is a tough game to pick, but I will give the edge to Tyrone.

Westmont @ Richland: Richland -47

Westmont has a new offense, but are still trying to figure it out, scoring a combined 19 points in their first two weeks of play. Richland enters the contest after a huge road win over BG, 28-18. I am going to say Richland keeps rolling, however the models margin of 47 seems a bit large.
