Welcome to the LHAC Power Index Week 6 Rankings. Last week, the model went 8-2, missing on Philipsburg and Huntingdon. That brings the total record to 44-16 (73%) on the season.
This week was the last easy week for the model, as the final four should be filled with exciting matchups. In the three weeks before the Laurel Highlands Crossover game, there are six matchups of top 10 teams, and the crossover will feature some huge matchups as well.

Week 6 Takeaways:
- The top five remain unchanged as all five teams dominated their week six opponents. Richland beat Somerset 61-7 on a four touchdown performance by QB Jacob Regan. McCort won their rivalry matchup with Greater Johnstown after holding the Trojans to just 87 total yards. Bishop Guilfoyle blanked Tyrone in a Saturday night matchup 26-0 holding the Golden Eagles to just 48 rushing yards. Penn Cambria rolled over Westmont 56-14 on 162 yards rushing by RB Corbin Vinglish. Forest Hills won 21-7 over Bedford holding the Bison to just 24 passing yards.
- Huntingdon climbs two spots to number six after a third quarter offensive explosion carried them to a 49-19 win over Central. The Bearcats have been climbing all year, behind their impressive Defense, which has held opponents in their five wins to just 14 points per game. Huntingdon has proven they can win in many ways, winning two of their games by one point, while also blowing out Somerset and Central. The Bearcats find themselves one game out of the Laurel Highlands Championship with three to play.
- Philipsburg-Osceola jumped two spots back to number seven after winning a monumental game against Bellwood-Antis 31-28 after holding off Bellwood’s late comeback. The Mounties forced three fumbles and weathered a 100-yard and two-touchdown performance from the Blue Devils star RB Alex McCartney. Philipsburg entered 2025 with high hopes and after week six, they have already matched their win total from 2024. It won’t be an easy end to their season though, as their next three opponents (Bellefonte, McCort, Tyrone) are all ranked within our top 12.
- Bellwood-Antis drops three spots to number 10 after suffering another heartbreaking loss to Philipsburg. With eight minutes left in the game, the Blue Devils were down 17, and after two quick touchdowns, their comeback fell short on a Hail Mary interception. Bellwood entered 2025 with what many considered to be their best chance to compete since they left the ICC, but after two one-score losses, the Blue Devils sit at 3-3. Unfortunately, their schedule does not let up, playing BG, a tough Chestnut Ridge team, and Bellefonte, before their crossover game.
- Chestnut Ridge moves up one more spot this week, after they shut out Central Cambria 27-0. This increased the Lions record to 3-3, after they faced stiff competition in the first half of the season. Their three losses come against teams that have combined for a record of 15-3 this season, while their three wins have been by an average of 27 points. Chestnut Ridge will have their chance to prove themselves against good opponents, playing Penn Cambria and Bellwood in the next two weeks.
