
Thomas Jefferson rolls past Kiski Area 57-13 in first round of WPIAL playoffs

Thomas Jefferson defeats Kiski Area 57-13 in the first round of the WPIAL playoffs.
They started off early with a bang with two touchdowns from senior quarterback Brody Evans to senior wide reciever Sean Sullivan to make the score 14-0 with 3:03 left in the first quarter.

Kiski scored their only points of the first half with a 20 yard touchdown reception from senior wide receiver Trey Martin. The score at the end of the first quarter was 14-6 after a missed extra point from Kiski, with TJ leading.
The second quarter was all Thomas Jefferson as the scoring came first with a 25 yard touchdown reception from senior wide receiver Brayden White to make the score 21-6. Senior running back Elias Lippincott rushes in a four yard touchdown to make the score 28-8 with 6:51 left in the first half. Sean Sullivan catches his third touchdown of the night making the score 35-6. The TJ dominance ended the first half from a 52 yard touchdown thrown by Brody Evans to Brayden white, ending the first half with a score of 42-6.

The second half saw a TJ score with 3:00 left in the third quarter from a rushing touchdown by junior Gavin Miller to put them up 50-6. With 23 seconds left to go in the third quarter, TJ safety Kane Eggerton takes an interception to the house for a touchdown, putting the Jaguars up 57-6 at the end of the third quarter.

A late Kiski score in the fourth quarter cut the lead down to 57-13 with 2:46 left to go in the fourth quarter. The final score totaled out to be 57-13 with the Thomas Jefferson Jaguars moving to the second round of the 4A WPIAL playoffs. TJ will face Montour next week in the second round.
