The Big 33 All Star Game roster was announced this morning, and on that list we can find a name from a school that hasn’t been listed since 2002. After an astonishing 2025 season, senior running back Ty’Meere Wilkerson became the first Berwick Bulldog selected to the Big 33 roster since Andy Decker back in 2002. Decker was selected following his senior season after leading the Bulldogs in tackles with 143, and setting a Berwick record for most tackles in a single game with 23.
“Its huge, you just look at history and tradition of playing for Berwick. It was such an honor to coach the first guy to make the Big 33 team since 2002. I got to see the work he put in and type of player he’s become. I’m humbled to be that coach. I just can’t believe how far he’s come in the last year and a half. His goal was always to be the best in the state at whatever position he played and I can say he certainly did that,” Berwick Head Coach CJ Curry said about Wilkerson.

Wilkerson was one of the most impactful players on Berwick’s roster this year, a team that certainly exceeded all expectations this season. Wilkerson made a huge jump from his junior season, which was still an impressive year despite Berwick’s 4-7 record. That season Wilkerson racked up 1,425 yards on 130 carries, and 16 rushing touchdowns. His senior season was nothing short of incredible, setting multiple school records which hadn’t been touched in over two decades. Wilkerson set the school record for most rushing yards in a single season with 2,845 on 224 carries, he set the school record for most rushing yards in a single game with 390 against Williamsport, and set the school record for most rushing touchdowns in a season with 40. Every single one of those records was previously held Brant Quick back in 2004, records that hadn’t been touched in 21 years.
Wilkerson was a key factor in what was an incredible turnaround season for the Bulldogs, including achieving their first undefeated regular season since 2013, as well as their first Wyoming Valley Conference title since that same 2013 year. The Bulldogs ended up finishing with an 11-1 record, their only loss coming to Scranton Prep in the District 2 Championship. Wilkerson after the Big 33 game will continue his football career with the New Hampshire Wildcats, who he recently committed with.
“It means a lot to me that I’m giving the opportunity to play the Big 33, that I’m first since 2002, and that my hard work is showing,” Wilkerson said when asked about being Berwick’s first Big 33 player since 2002.
