ROARING SPRING— Central turned the ball over 6 times in a 28-6 loss to rival Tyrone. This win gave Tyrone their first win over the Dragons since Week 2 of 2018. A largely dominant win for the Golden Eagles moves them to 2-1 on the season.
The game began with a 5:15 drive from the Golden Eagles which resulted in a punt after two straight incompletions by QB Eli Woomer on second and third down. However, Tyrone took control of the ball 5 plays later following a Mason Emigh interception of Central QB Jesse Muthler.

A 51 yard pass from Woomer to WR Brayden Parsons set up a 7 yard touchdown run from Caleb Whitby. This touchdown put the Golden Eagles ahead by 7 with 34 seconds to play in the first quarter.

The second half felt like more of the same for Central, as it started with Muthler’s third interception of the game, this time to DB Brayden Parsons. However, the Tyrone offense could find no room, quickly going 3 and out, returning the ball to the Dragons. Both teams traded punts one more time before Tyrone recovered a fumble on the Dragons 26.
The momentum quickly shifted towards the Dragons as Levi Wareham intercepted Eli Woomer. Central looked poised to attack. However, after gaining only 3 yards, the Dragons and Golden Eagles traded punts once again. Then, backup QB Carter Schenk threw the Dragons fourth interception and fifth turnover of the evening.
After Central DB JJ Moushlian intercepted Eli Woomer, the Dragons drove for 10 plays and 74 yards capped by a Carter Schenk 15 yard touchdown scramble, cutting the Tyrone lead to 14-6 with 3:43 remaining in the game.

From here, Tyrone turned a tight game into a blowout quickly. Eli Woomer found Caleb Whitby on an out route which Whitby would take 45 yards to the house. Immediately following this, Brayden Parsons returned an interception from Carter Schenk to the endzone which pushed the score to 28-6 Tyrone, where it would remain.
