This matchup has happened quite a few times in the recent years. Never has it ceased to amaze, and both Dallas and Valley View “understood the assignment’ as the kids say nowadays. Dallas knew coming into the game that Valley View likes to burn the clock on their drives on purpose. They took the ball to start the game, and although it was a slow start for both teams Valley View was the team to score first. Dallas responded with 14 unanswered points, but a sloppy 2nd half between penalties, and offensive miscues allowed Valley View to not only get back into the game, but seal it by a score of 41-14. Valley Views wins the District 2 4A title, and will play Pope John Paul II next week. You can watch the highlights by watching the video below.
*the final play of this game resulted in a touchdown for Valley View, but due to the end of the game and an “unsportsmanlike conduct” penalty, the PAT try was taken away. The final score was 41-14 Valley View…..NOT 35-14.
