Upper Merion returned home this week after dropping a tough game last week to West Chester East. They took on another West Chester team, but this time it was the Warriors of West Chester Henderson. In the second half, the Warriors ran away with this one, 28-6, only allowing one Upper Merion touchdown.
Starting off the scoring was West Chester. The end of quarter one was near, but not before Jaxon Cherup found Chase Kearney for the score. 7-0, Warriors.

Upper Merion didn’t answer until midway through the second. After a long drive, Rudolf Wilhelm punched it in for six.

In the back half of the second, West Chester Henderson capitalized on a well put together drive. The drive took up the rest of the quarter, and after a series of timeouts, Nathan Garcia scored, 14-6.
The Warriors got the ball to start the second half. They made things look easy, scoring in two plays. Quarterback Jaxon Cherup, rushed it in scoring his second touchdown. Later on in the third, Jackson Lewis caught a long touchdown pass, making the score 28-6. That finalized the scoring for the night.
Mouth pieces thrown, helmets flying off, hectic fans, you name it, this game had it. By this point in the game, the Vikings are losing and are about to drop to 0-4, no one is happy. West Chester Henderson moves to 4-0, Upper Merion moves to 0-4, and look to pick up their first win of the season next week when they host Pottstown.
