The Canton, Troy Rivalry game is called the Old Shoe game and it’s a huge deal for every high school football fan that lives within 50 miles of the Canton, Troy area, over the last few years some great teams have come out of this rivalry, and made some deep state playoff runs including last year’s Troy team bringing home the Northern Tier Leagues first ever State Championship. This year the Old Shoe banquet featured a guest speaker that graduated from Troy in 2016 and came back home to share some of his experiences with all of this year’s seniors.
