Wyoming Area dominates Holy Redeemer 55-13

Aaron Crossley only ran two times tonight, he only needed one to get the scoring started. The senior running back scored from 25 yards out, setting the tone for eight different Warriors to find the endzone en route to a dominating 55-13 win over Holy Redeemer.

After Crossley’s early score, the Warriors would find the endzone just 1:05 seconds later when Anthony Delucca connected with Josh Murk from 11 yards out, giving the Warriors a 14-0 lead with 6:14 left in the first quarter.

Delucca would add his second touchdown pass of the night on the ensuing drive when he connected with Lidge Kellum on a screen pass that he took 51 yards to the house, extending the Warriors lead to 21-0 with 4:50 left in the first quarter.

Kellum would come up with another big play, as he sacked Thomas Duggan, forcing a fumble that Nick Scalzo recovered in the endzone for a touchdown, giving the Warriors a 28-0 lead with 3:00 minutes left in the first quarter.

The disastrous start would continue for the Royals as they fumbled the ensuing kickoff, setting up the Warriors’ score just 2 plays later when Luke Barhight took it in from a yard out, extending the Warrior’s lead to 35 with 2:15 remaining in the quarter.

Redeemer would get on the board early in the second quarter. Josh Kreidler took it in from 12 yards out, cutting the lead down as they now trailed 35-6 with 10:58 remaining in the half.

Lidge Kellum’s big day would continue as he took a handoff 56 yards to the house. As the Warriors now led 42-6.

The Warriors weren’t done just yet, as a minute later, Oliver Bolin picked off a pass, taking it 36 yards to the crib and extending the Warriors lead 48-6 with 7:42 remaining in the half.

The Warriors would add one more score before the half ended as Brady Jones. Took one in from 8 yards out extending the Warrior’s lead to 49 as they led 55-6 with 6:38 left in the half.

The Royals would add their final score of the game with 26 seconds left as Thomas Duggan connected with Daniel Hughes from 32 yards out as the score went into half read, Wyoming Area 55, Holy Redeemer 13.

The second half was played with 8-minute quarters and a running clock.
