PFN State Rankings – Week 2 Class 6A & 5A

The Pennsylvania Football News releases it’s state rankings every Sunday night. Here are the new Class 6A & 5A rankings after Week 2:
Class 6A
Everyone was a winner Week 2 including Saint Joseph’s Prep’s impressive win over Oaks Christian out of California. Big showdown coming up in the WPIAL when Pittsburgh Central Catholic hosts North Allegheny. The Tigers gave the eventual state champions their only regular season loss in 2015.

Class 5A
Usually, we give the benefit of the doubt to these powerful programs when they go out of state and play powerhouse programs, but Archbishop Wood was thoroughly beaten this past weekend. Therefore, they do drop to No. 3 while two WPIAL teams jump ahead of them.
