2020State CollegeDE

I went from being a third-string 185 lbs. quarterback to a starting 227 lbs. defensive end in a little under a year. I am the oldest of three, Kyle being the middle child (15 years old), and Kenzie being the third child (10 years old). Both my parents are health and physical education teachers at State College area High school, so I live a pretty healthy and active lifestyle. I also play basketball and baseball for State College Area High School.

Who is your favorite sports star and why?

My favorite sports star is Lebron James. This is not only because of his success on the court but also his success off the court. Yes anyone can make millions of dollars playing the game they love, but for him to do what he does for the communities around him is just amazing to hear about. He not only cares about himself and his kids future but he cares about the future of the community and those kids that were in his position at one point.

Why do you play football?

I play football because not only is it a sport that everyone has to work in harmony and everyone has to know their job, but you learn to face adversity, you learn how to be a man on and off the field, and you know how to manage time better playing football. All these things make me a better person on the field, but more importantly, affect and contribute to me off the field.

What sports movie would you watch every day if you had to pick one and why?

If I had to watch one sports movie every day it would have to be Rocky III. I love this movie because of the obstacles that Rocky is able to overcome, whether it be mentally or physically. The way that he presents himself and carries himself is who I want to be in real life. He is such a role model character not only for me but also for the world of sports.

When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?

I am typically always busy with something sports related, but if I don’t have anything my go-to activity is either swimming and chilling at the pool in the summer or just playing with my brother or my friends around town in the fall, winter, and spring.

Other Sports

I keep myself busy with basketball in the winter and then move right into baseball for the spring and summer.

Stats

Throughout the entire season, I racked up 46 total tackles (24 being solo and 22 being assisted). I then added to this with one pick six for a total of 49 yards.
