Who is your favorite sports star and why?
My favorite athlete is a two way tie between Kobe Bryant and DeAndre Hopkins. I think both athletes have the mindset required to be the best. They are fearless in their fields and spend endless time perfecting their craft. Both are always looking for anyway to get an advantage over their opponent no matter what sacrifices that required. I have the utmost respect for them because both are willing to be coached and not afraid of criticism. Kobe has a love and respect for the game that is unmatched and never uses his spotlight to disrespect the game. Both look at themselves a the best at what they do and they prove it day in and day out.
Why do you play football?
I play football because I have a deep love and passion for the sport. I respect the values that football teaches a person on and off the field and without football I wouldn’t be the man I am today. Football has been teaching me things since the day I began playing and will continue to teach me way after I am done. The game has taught me that hard work does pay off and if you put your all into something you will never regret it. Above all, I play football because it allows me to be apart of something much bigger than myself. It is the ultimate team sport that forces you to put trust into your teammates and coaches in order to be successful. For me, I know the decisions I make not only have an effect on me but my family and my future family to come, football has taught me to do everything in my power to make sure I have a positive impact on my family. That is why I play this game we call football.
