It’s been a long time since Purchase Line has had seniors that would go on to play football at the collegiate level. Recently, the Red Dragons have had two seniors commit to Division III schools and those players are senior running back Kyle Day and senior lineman Giovanni Scott.
Day has committed to Geneva College and will play on the football team as a Golden Tornado. Day said, “This college has the major I’m looking for. It will be a big change to meet new people and learn new offensive schemes.”
Scott is to attend and play football at Saint Vincent College as a Bearcat. Scott said, “I really like the faculty and staff. I love the community and program that Saint Vincent is building. I picked Saint Vincent because I felt that it was a place where I would have more than enough opportunities to succeed.”
Purchase Line’s head football coach Matthew Falisec said, “Having players play football at the next level is a great accomplishment for our program. I’m really proud of both of them. They’ve really worked hard all season and they deserve it.”
