On Wednesday during State Colleges Signing day four players signed their letters of intent. Brothers Michael and Thomas Dincher, JW Scott, and Stephen Scourtis.

Michael and Thomas will be staying in state as they are both headed to Lafayette.“It’s always been are dream to play football in college together” said Michael. When talking to head coach Matt Lintal about them he said “They really kids who I think are going to grow and thrive throughout the college experience and playing within the patriot league I believe they are going to be dominant players and go off to do great things and represent State High well.”

Stephen officially signed his LOI to Harvard after being verbally committed since July. Stephen talked about what made Harvard his choice “ when visiting I noticed how all the players were leaders and so were the coaches they all had characteristics I liked and during my official visit I really fell in love with the place.” Coach Lintal talked about what this commitment meant to the program”Stephens a kid who’s played four years of football for us so it’s special to have this culminating experience for him.” “He’s one of the most well rounded kids I’ve been around in my life he’s a brilliant student a tremendous football player and one of most kind young men that you could even meet, so I’m super excited for him to go and represent us at that level.”

JW Scott is going to the Bronx to play at Fordham in the Patriot League. The outside linebacker/edge talked about what appealed to him about the school and the conference. “It’s a great academic school and the football is good there they went 9-3 this year and the patriot league doesn’t red shirt freshman so I’m going to get a opportunity to play if I earn it of course. I love the coaches man I love the campus I just fell in love with the university.” Matt Lintal talks about how JW has grown as a player “(JW) moved here as a tenth grader became a starter right away and has grown as a player each and every game and each and every practice and is a kid who’s development never has stopped and never has slowed it’s just confined to go through out his entire career he’s been such a leader for us he really is  the vocal leader for this team for the last two seasons and has done a tremendous job of just motivating everybody around him I believe he’ll be able to carry that to Fordham and really be a dominant player for him I think his best football lays ahead of him.”
