#BeyondTheKeystone Utah (Monticello v. Monument Valley)

Tagged under: Beyond The Keystone

| August 20, 2019

On Friday night, a small town in southeast Utah beckoned. Monticello is a small outpost along US191 and the junction with US491 (formerly US666). Also, the acclaimed highest elevation field in the state of Utah at 7,113 feet.

Nominally named Monticello Stadium isn’t that noteworthy. Simply, to the point type of stadium. Aluminum and decent. The home fans face west to the mountains and the setting sun. Monument Valley, a school district brethren, hail from the state line area near the Monument Valley Tribal Park. One of the most awe-inspiring areas of the country you may ever see.

In 20 previous attempts, Monument Valley has not beaten Monticello. And for the 21st attempt, were again unsuccessful. #28 Tanner Tsinigine was a beast for the M.V. Cougars. He recorded two interceptions in the first quarter and kept Monument Valley in the game before things started to unravel in the second quarter.
