Saturday afternoon I made another drive to Nelson Field in Bellaire, to watch Bellaire host Harrison Central. Both teams came in 2-0 making this a covid-19 mid-season big-time game. I had seen Harrison Central once this season and new that Kobe Mitchell, Trevor Carmen, and Jonathon Vermillion were all dangerous on the offensive side of things. What I did not know about Bellaire was that their lines were going to have A very dominating performance, making this a special kind of A-game.

Colt Sechrest, A 6-4 210 pound Junior fullback would go 43 yards, He would have scored but Mitchell drug him down. Sechrest would later score on a 2 yard run with #62 (not on the roster) making this a 7-0 game, with his P.A.T. Later in the first quarter Mitchell would convert A fourth and one by breaking several tackles picking up 4 yards. James Brooks would use a nice block to pick up 10 yards, at the 3:19 mark. Mitchell picked up 21 yards on A QB draw on the run he would break two more tackles. With just 23.7 seconds left on the clock, Mitchell found A big hole to score from 4 yards out. Jace Madzia locked this one up at seven, with his P.A.T.

Facing A 3rd and eight Bellaire was able to pick up the first down when Jake Heatherington found #6 (Not On The Roster). The drive fizzled after that and the Huskies offense would get A nice15 yard gain from Brooks to get things started. However, the drive ended A little over a minute later thanks to Mitchell being stuffed by Terrin Frazier on a 4th and one play. On the ensuing drive, the Big Reds would go 51 yards, on seven plays to take A 14-7 lead. The scoring play came on A 12 yard run from Brayden Roth. Mitchell would connect with Vermillion for 37 yards. Mitchell checked off three times before making the throw. Mitchell hooked up with Carmen for 8 yards. Mitchell then hit Kanyon Coleman for a 34-yard touchdown to lock this one up at 14.

Bellaire would take the lead for good with 7:46 left in the third when Sechrest scored on a 12-yard pass from Heatherington. The P.AT. would be missed leaving this a 20-14 game. The Bellaire defense came up with a turnover when #6 (Not On The Roster). recovered A fumble. Harrison Central would get the ball back after their defense shut the Bellaire offense down, without any damage could be done. Mitchell would hit Carmen for 40 yards, on a play that seen Carmen wide opened. The drive ended when Madzia picked off A Mitchell pass. With A big hole opened up by his offensive line Roth easily picked up 8 yards.

The Fourth quarter was five seconds deep when Roth rambled in from 3 yards out making this a 26-14 game. Timmy O’Grady, who had a nice game sacked Mitchell for a 10-yard loss. Mitchell and the Huskies recovered from the sack and scored on A 12 yard run by Mitchell making this A 26-21 game. Heatherington would find Sechrest for A long gain all the way down the Huskies 27-yard line. Sechrest is A player to watch for all of you, who follow Bellaire or plan on seeing them, this season. Bellaire would score the final points of the game, with Heatherington plowing in from 1 yard out. with the P.A.T Bellaire would go up 33-21 and that would be the final score. The last big play of the game came on A 25 yard run by Sechrest.
