Why do you play football?
Honestly, football is a way to express myself, I feel free and don’t have to worry and just be a kid. I’ve been playing since I was younger. I fell in love with it.
What has been your best memory from football so far?
Junior year homecoming game we were down a touchdown I was on the bench and it was fourth and five with two minutes in the game and scored the game-winning touchdown and got the ball back and with 30 seconds left 4 and one goal-line stop to win the moment was surreal.
Who is your favorite pro athlete and why?
Michael Jordan because not the way he played but his leadership determination and will to win he’s a really good role model.
Who is your biggest fan and why?
My mom, she is the reason I’m playing, she always puts out money for me to be able to play and does whatever she can. She always cheers and she’s the loudest, everyone hears my mom more than the cheerleaders.
Is there any specific person you look up to and use as a role model?
My brother Nate Edwards, his life he’s been through a lot and he’s my motivation as far as football it came naturally to him and he was really good at it, I loved watching him play.
What is your desired major in college?
What are some team goals for this upcoming season?
Honestly, to win another championship, we’ve been underrated my entire high school career and we want everyone to know we’re here to win.
How has COVID-19 affected you?
School learning is different and adapting to a virtual setting and learning to adapt to my environment.
Favorite play to run?
Getting after the quarterback and making plays and contact, offense go route use my speed.
What is your personal goal for this season?
Stay healthy, win a championship and also just take every game as my last because it’s my senior year.
Favorite pre-game meal?
Sport you’d love to play but can’t?
Is a hotdog a sandwich?
No, you can make it a sandwich but it’s not a sandwich.
Playing the game, working out, and watching movies.
