LET’S GET TO KNOW BASIL

Why do you play football?

I play because I love the sport. It runs in my family, none of my family members made it to the league but I want to be the first

Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?

My favorites are definitely between TJ Watt and Aaron Donald. The intensity they play with is just incredible

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:

One of my favorite plays, especially from this season, was my first sack of the season against Cheltenham. It was my first sack of my high school career after coming off a 2 year ankle and wrist injury.

What was last years season like for you?

Going into the season was very exciting; again coming off my 2 year injury. We started the season out great going 2-1 with 2 blowouts. But everything went down hill afterwards. We went on to go 2-8 last year. Although didn’t have a great record, I couldn’t tell you that I didn’t have a great time. Our team is bigger than records and championships and awards. We had and still have a bond outside of football and last year helped me build a strong relationship with the team

What are your goals for this coming season?

Personal goal I want to set for this year is definitely getting All league. I also want to get my name out there to coaches. As a team I want to go all the way. And I know it is very possible with our incredible coaching staff and the talent we have on our team.

Who is the best player you ever lined up against?

I don’t know the name, but there waa an individual on Pennridge. #77. He was big, strong and had quick feet. Respect to him.

What stadium, HS/college/pro would you love to visit for a game?

I would love to see a Georgia Bulldogs game. They alway have an amazing defensive line and I could definitely learn a thing or two.

What is your favorite Pro team, any sport?

Pittsburgh Steelers. Loved them since a kid. Growing up waitching players like James Harrison and Troy P was amazing.

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?

Probably the Steelers Super Bowl against the Cardinals. The James Harrison pick six was my favorite Steelers play ever. And the final touchdown from Big Ben to Santonio Holmes was the best ever. Amazing pass and amazing catch

What would you do to improve the recruiting process?

I would have college head coaches hire people to search through their twitter dms and emails. It is hard to put your name out on Twitter because the coaches without a doubt get hundreds of dms a day.

Describe what the perfect teammate is

My version of a perfect teammate is a teammate that doesn’t belittle other teammates. As a team, you should be a family.

Tell everyone why you think football is good for a community

Football is a great way to bring the community together. Every Friday night the schools come out and show love it’s just amazing.

Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?

I would love to play quarter back for a whole quarter of football. I think I would actually be ok. I would be hard to sack and I got a little speed to me Haha.

Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?

Definitely my dad. He isn’t just a role model athletically, but also as a man in generel. He was a former All American and even played pro. He came from nothing and is now the best dad/ coach/ mentor ever. Love him.

What is your favorite practice drill? What is your least favorite practice drill?

My favorite is probably all pass rush drills. Hitting the bag, flipping my hips, figure 8, etc. I despise conditioning though. Typical for a lineman.

Preseason Two a Days are:

needed. Not only is it gettinv you conditioned, but its also building team chemistry. You are spending time with your teammates 8-12 hours a day for a couple weeks.

Is there anyone in your family, besides your parents, you could consider your biggest fan? Who, Why?

Probably my teammates. We all support each other to the fullest. We retweet each others’ tweets and repost each others posts. We will always show love and support to one another

When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?

Playing my video game. It is a great way to relax and have time to yourself.

What is your favorite football memory to date?

Getting ready for my first varsity start coming off my injury. Filled with nervousness and excitement

What is your favorite play to run?

Any play where I could get one on one with a tackle.

is a hot dog a sandwich?

No. A hot dog is just a hot dog.

Music of choice:

Rod Wave. Anything Rod Wave. He is the best artist out. I’ve been listening to strictly Rod Wave since 2020.

Best thing you ever got from a teammate? Why?

I honestly don’t remember getting anything from a teammate.

Best Pizza topping?

Sausage. It’s way better than pepperoni and no one better argue for pineapple.

Which one? Sheetz or Wawa

Wawa. Never been to Sheetz

What is your favorite vacation destination?

I love Florida. I went there for the past 2 winters because of my little brother’s Abington Raiders team. (Check that whole team out. They are full of future starts.) But the vibe was just amazing and they always have fantastic weather.

Do you remember what the first football game you saw was?

I can’t remember
