LET’S GET TO KNOW COOPER

Why do you play football?

I grew up playing and watching football and seeing my brother be so successful and have the privilege to play division 1 football at PennState really motivated me. I also play because of the endless relationships that are created throughout the years. There is nothing better than going out everyday and doing something you love with your best friends.

It’s gameday! What are you looking forward to the most?

Going to war with my brothers in front of thousands of people. Nothing better than a home game at War Memorial.

Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?

I’d say between Bryce Young and Johnny Manziel. They both were able to play the game at a completely relaxed state of mind even in the most high stressed situations. No moment was ever too big for them.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:

I would say my freshman year when we played east. I threw my first touchdown of my high school career to Eli Boehm. I was able to throw it right before half time in order to get us back into the game. I later connected with Eli again for another touchdown.

What was last years season like for you?

Exciting. A lot of people counted us out when we lost to Cb South. We were also seeded 11th for the playoffs. Nobody but ourselves believed we would make it to the District 1 championship. Playing that late in the season was an amazing feeling. You know it’s a great season when you’re practicing on thanksgiving morning.

What are your goals for this coming season?

Take that next step that we couldn’t take last year.

Who is the best player you ever lined up against?

Phil Picciott. You could tell he made a difference in the way his team played.

What stadium, HS/college/pro would you love to visit for a game?

Without a doubt, beaver stadium.

What is your favorite Pro team, any sport?

Gotta represent Philadelphia. Go Birds!

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?

Kansas City Chiefs vs Buffalo bills. Both quarterbacks knew whoever got the ball first in overtime was gonna win that game.

What sports movie would you watch every day if you had to pick one and why?

Remember the titans

If your mom and dad are screaming at you from the stands, what is it they usually yell?

It’s usually my pops telling me to pick it up.

Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?

Win the Super Bowl

Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?

I’d say my older brother. Absolute freak of nature.

When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?

Watching sports. All the big time college football games.

What is your favorite football memory to date?

Playing in the snow game against Perk Valley last year.

What is your favorite play to run?

Any play that gains yards.

What restaurant is your go to when you need a big meal?

Chick-fil-A

What is your favorite vacation destination?

Ocean City New Jersey
