Words from the Head Coach:
“Dylan was one of the leaders for our offensive line as a Junior last year. He is a hard working, tough nose football player that wants the best for the team and his teammates. He will be one of our leaders again this coming season.”

Let’s get to know about this BIG man Dylan:

Why do you play football ?
I like football for the team aspect of the game as it teaches you how to work together with other and as a team. I especially value how it provokes learning how to communicate with one another and finding strengths in every player for a successful outcome.

Who is your favorite sports star and why ?
I am a fan of Jason Kelce, because the grit he displays on the field is awesome and leaves it all out there. His work ethic as a professional player is admirable while his off the field character and community care is impressive. It is not easy to find someone in professional sports with that balance.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most ?
Jet sweep to the left. The reason this play is memorable is because it was done in an overtime scenario against Springford. During the game, a field goal is kicked to go up by three and my team Garnet Valley, runs the jet sweep and scores on the first play. The way our team came together through adversity of the game was just amazing, and made this play stick in my mind.

What was last year’s season like for you ?
Last year was a positive development year for me personally and a fun season altogether, especially with the first year for our head coach. Unfortunately, I was faced with a mid season injury during week 4 against one of our strongly matched league opponents, Springfield. I was overwhelmed by how my teammates had my back and kept my spirits high, which helped in my recovery to plan again during the playoffs.

Who is the best player you have ever lined up against ?
I have had many talented player who have impressed me over the years whom I am have played against, however, Maxwell Roy is the one that comes to mind.

What stadium, (HS/College/Pro) would you love to visit for a game ?
I have followed Virginia Tech for a long time and would enjoy attending a Virginia Tech football game.

What is your favorite Pro Sports team(any sport) ?
Without hesitation, the Eagles! The reason I love the Eagles so much is because they have never run from the difficult seasons and always dusted off after each season with the ambition to improve, and worked hard to build an incredible team that is not only multi-talented in so many categories, but understands where the franchise has come from to now as one of the best teams in the league. The players, front office, fans, and the entire city are contributors to the unrivaled effort it took to get here.

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why ?
This would be Super-Bowl 53 because, when the Eagles went down, they kept their heads in the game and didn’t give up. They displayed to everyone a team that stuck together.

What sports movie could you watch every day if you had to pick one, and why ?
I enjoy the message and storyline of Rudy, because he dreamed of playing for Notre Dame and overcame adversity of his size and more, making me inspired through the whole movie. It is a great teaching moment never to give up on your dream. Even against the greatest odds.

Name one thing you’d love to do in football that may never happen ?
I would love to step on the Eagles football field when they are in pre-game warmup.

Name a sport you’d love to play but can’t:
Ice hockey is one that comes to mind.

What is your most embarrassing sports moment ?
When I was younger, I was playing soccer and I scored for the other team.

Tell us something about playing for Garnet Valley that stands out, that others may not know ?
The togetherness and how we stick together, because when some of our opposing teams go down in a game, we have witnessed some losing control of themselves but at Garnet Valley, our culture on and off the field has taught us to stick together.

When you aren’t playing, practicing, or training for sports, what is your go to activity, and why ?
I enjoy music, hanging out with friends, the beach, and most importantly spending time with my family.

Which one, Sheetz, Wawa, or Rutters ?
I am a fan of Sheetz, even though I do live in Wawa country. One reason is, because they have a much bigger food menu and more variety of items not typically found in a Wawa. Rutter’s is a nice concept, but I have not had too much interaction with that chain.

What is your favorite vacation destination ?
My “go to” vacation place is Florida. It has every aspect of fun from the beach to theme parks.

Tell us something that you have a fear of ?
I am not alone in this fear but I am not a fan of Clowns.

Favorite Fast Food/Burger place and why ?
Chic Fil-A and my favorite burger place is Zac’s Hamburger. The juices of the burger just flow during every bite! I also think both of these places have nailed the concept they were going after.

Favorite School Subject ?
I enjoy Math as I get a lot of satisfaction from working with numbers and solving problems.

Favorite Band/Musician ?
I enjoy the music of Zack Bryan.

NBA, NHL, MLB, NCAAF, NFL, Which league is the best and why ?
NCAAF is the best league because, I feel they just put everything out there. It isn’t a league where athletes are just there for the money.

Best Video Game Console(XBox/Playstation/Sega/Atari/etc) and why ?
Xbox, because I feel the servers are just faster than PlayStation, and they have more options (in my opinion).

Airplane, Boat, or Vehicle(motorcycles included), how would you travel and to where ?
Airplane, safe and a faster way to get to your destination, especially for my trip to Jamaica because I’ve never been out of the country and I wanna go to beaches in Ocho Ríos.

Name one thing in life(NOT SPORTS RELATED) you would like to achieve:
I would like to be a great father and create a great foundation for my kids and raise them how I was taught. My parents instilled strong values in a loving environment.

Location you think would be the best place to live(ie: island, mountains, city, etc) ?
I would like to live in Texas because I love to fish and am inspired by the country atmosphere.
