Getting to know Demacio

How long have you played football, along with the reasons you continue to play?

I have been playing football for 9 years.
I still play because football allows me to feel a part of something bigger and I enjoy working as a team for a common goal, to win.

What was the hardest part of the 2022 season?

The hardest part of the 2022 season was keeping the team motivated during tuff games.

The Neshaminy Redskins finished with 406 points last season, getting outscored by a total of 54 points. What will you guys need to do to turn things around this year and make a good playoff run?

To make a good playoff run this year the team has been working extra hard during the off-season to build on our speed, strength, and endurance. We are also perfecting our technique and reflecting on what went wrong last year so we can do better this year.

Besides family members, who is your biggest fan?

I don’t think I have a single biggest fan outside my family but I do get a lot of support from my teammates, coaches, and my girlfriend. They all help me to become better so I can reach my goals.

What is your favorite play to run?

I play defense so I don’t have a favorite play, but I enjoy man coverage.

What is your most embarrassing sports moment?

Missing open field tackles my Sophomore year to give up 2 touchdowns.

Where do you believe the state finals should be held?

In a state college stadium.

What is the hardest part of a Redskins practice?

Conditioning before starting the practice.

Who was the best team the Redskins faced last season, along with the reasons you believe made them so good?

I believe Pennsbury was the toughest team we played last year. They had great players and dominated both sides of the ball.

Who has been the best player you have ever played against, along with the team he played for?

Connor McFadden from Central Bucks West was my toughest opponent.

Do you feel that you and your teammates are role models for the younger kids who come and watch you all play?

I do believe that my teammates and I are role models for younger kids who come and watch us play. I’ve seen kids come up to players on my team and they’d know everything about them because they are their “biggest fan”

After the season is over, are you hoping to be invited to the East vs. West or the Big 33 All-Star game?

I am hoping to continue playing football for as long as I can.

What toppings and crust make your perfect pizza?

I am content with a plain cheese pizza.

What is your favorite video game?

Rainbow Six Siege

What is your favorite class or subject?

Math
