LET’S GET TO KNOW VINCENT

Why do you play football?

Football has been my life ever since I was born. I have made friendships that will last me a lifetime through this sport. Without football, I do not believe that I would be where I am at today. Not only does the sport keep me involved physically, it keeps me inclined academically to succeed in the classroom.

It’s gameday! What are you looking forward to the most?

I am looking forward to going to battle with my teammates.

Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?

Josh Allen, he is a great leader for his team. Also, he shows the younger generation of football what it means to fight adversity and be tough.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:

Yes, during the Central Bucks West game this past season. It was 2nd and 7 on our own 16 yard line. We did not have much momentum up until that point in the game. I saw the outside backer coming up to blitz off the edge. As a result I snapped the ball and immediately tried to get out and around him. I stiff armed the line backer to the ground, then stepped up in the pocket. Evading a couple tackles in the end zone, I threw the ball to our RB John Eatherton for a gain of 25 yards. It sprung some momentum for that drive which resulted in a touchdown. There were other notable plays, however that was my favorite this past year.

What was last years season like for you?

Last years season was different, it was my personal first year starting at QB. As well as many other players getting their shot for the first time. It was a great learning year. For me, I got to understand what it meant to play Varsity football. We had a lot of young guys and I think that this year should be special. We have been working hard in order to make this year better than last.

What are your goals for this coming season?

Our team goals are to improve from last year and have a chance to compete for a league championship. While that is goal is far away, I think our main priority is Southern Lehigh week one.

What stadium, HS/college/pro would you love to visit for a game?

I would love to visit the Rose Bowl.

What is your favorite Pro team, any sport?

The Philadelphia Eagles

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?

Auburn vs Alabama Iron Bowl when Chris Davis returned a missed field goal for a TD.

Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?

Make a 50 yard field goal.

Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?

I want to be like my parents. They both have a great work ethic and are great role models for my siblings and I.

Name a sport you’d love to play but can’t:

What is your most embarrassing sports moment?

Punting a ball 5 yards in my first ever high school playoff game.

Is there anyone in your family, besides your parents, you could consider your biggest fan? Who, Why?

My younger brother, he works out with me all the time and always wants me to succeed.
