Head Coach Mark Morelli says “Eric is a smart athlete, that continues to get better with the reps. He was forced into the starting QB role as a sophomore with no Varsity reps and has continued to be a leader since that day. He has back to back 1,000 yd passing seasons and has been an All-Region selection both years as well. He is a self aware player. He knows what he is good at, and what he needs to work on and is determined to get those things corrected”.

Why do you play football?
I love playing the game and creating the memories that come along with it.
Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?
Andrew Mccutchen, I have always looked up to him since a young kid and his return to Pittsburgh was great to see.
Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:
Scoring the go ahead touchdown against Oil city my sophomore year. Which led to us pulling through with the game.
What was last years season like for you?
It was a great season for what we had to overcome, whether it was injury or other conflicts that arose. Overall I enjoyed playing with my teammates and think we had a positive season.
What are your goals for this coming season?
My goals are to come in day in and day out giving my best effort for my team to succeed. Also to just enjoy the journey the sport takes me on.
Who is the best player you ever lined up against?
The best player I’ve ever lined up against, was Ethan Knox last year.
What stadium, HS/college/pro would you love to visit for a game?
I would have to say Acrisure Stadium.
What is your favorite Pro team, any sport?
Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers
What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?
Oil city my sophomore year, I’ve rewatched that one more than any of my other games.
What sports movie would you watch every day if you had to pick one and why?
The sandlot
If your mom and dad are screaming at you from the stands, what is it they usually yell?
They do not yell
Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?
Not sure
Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?
My mentor is my dad. He works hard everyday for my family and always makes sure to ask how a game went if he isn’t there already. Also he has never hesitated to help me get better at the sports I love.

What is your most embarrassing sports moment?

Is there anyone in your family, besides your parents, you could consider your biggest fan? Who, Why?
My grandpa. He lives in Florida but will still make attempts to come all the way to Pennsylvania to see my games, if not he’ll always watch the live streams.
When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?
Hanging out with my friends and family, there is nothing better than sitting around having a good time.
What is your favorite football memory to date?
Oil city sophomore year, we had a big comeback to get the win on homecoming weekend.
What is your favorite play to run?
My favorite play is a go route to one of my receivers that just hits perfectly.
What scares you the most?
Nothing
Music of choice:
Large variety anywhere from hip hop to country to even some Frank Sinatra before a game.
What restaurant is your go to when you need a big meal?
Anywhere with some sushi- specifically Arctic Bites in Jamestown
