“Collin is a two year starter for us. He has emerged as an impact player this past year. His positions are at wide receiver, defensive back, and returner on special teams. Collin has good range, speed, and high skill set. He made significant contributions as a receiver, and led our team with interceptions.”

Let’s Get to Know Collin:

Why do you play football ?
I started playing football for the Ashland Black Diamonds when I was 7. I fell in the love with the game. These guys I play with now, most I have played with since I was a kid. They are more than just a team, they are family. Football is comradery, discipline, determination, dedication, and it has taught me to overcome adversity. Football has given me direction.

Who is your favorite sports star and why ?
Marshawn Lynch, “beast mode” his work ethic.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most ? Explain:
TD pass from Joey Flail to me in the playoffs. Joey is our wide receiver who threw me the TD pass.

What was last year’s season like for you ?
Last season I was able to show by abilities as a two way player. My defense turned up and I ended up having 6 interceptions.  I earned multiple acknowledgments for my skills on the field and in the classroom. Overall, It was a year of growth and development. We will comeback better than ever next season.

Who is the best player you have ever lined up against ?
Shawn Battle-Neumann Goretti

What stadium, (HS/College/Pro) would you love to visit for a game ?
Penn State

What is your favorite Pro Sports team(any sport) ? Explain:
Yankee’s, They have a winning record and that was the first game I went to.

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why ?
LSU vs Alabama “it was an epic battle”

What sports movie could you watch every day if you had to pick one, and why ?
The Blind Side of course, it’s a classic.

Name one thing you’d love to do in football that may never happen ?
Throw a touchdown pass.

Name a sport you’d love to play but can’t:
Hockey

What is your most embarrassing sports moment ?
Dropping a TD pass in the Mount Carmel game.

When you aren’t playing, practicing, or training for sports, what is your go to activity, and why ?
Playing video games with my friends, it’s a way to relax. I also enjoy outdoor activities such as fishing and  hunting.

What is your favorite play to run ?
Man to man defense.

Which one, Sheetz, Wawa, or Rutters ? Explain:
Sheetz for their MTO’s. We all go the Sheetz the night before a game.

What is your favorite vacation destination ?
Any beach, my grandparents have a place in Fenwick Island, and I have some great memories there.

Name one thing in life (NOT SPORTS RELATED) you would like to achieve:
Obtain a college degree, and become a successful, independent adult.

Location you think would be the best place to live(ie: island, mountains, city, etc) ? Explain why:
The mountains because, I love to hunt, fish, and spend time outdoors.
