Wyomissing Spartans
PIAA District 3 – Class AAA
League: Berks Inter-County League 2
Head Coach: Bob Wolfrum
Overview:
After falling 35-21 to Central Valley in the 2020 3A Championship game, the Spartans priority in the off-season was to not just get back to the title game, but to finish the journey and bring the title home this time around but they have to do it against the same foe that defeated them in last year’s game–Central Valley. The biggest win of the season was ending 2A perennial champion Southern Columbia’s 93 game winning streak 41-21 on October 1st in Catawissa.
How they got to Hershey:

RB Amory Thompson 95 tallies 885 yards 14 scores

Drew Eisenhower has 43 tackles with 4 interceptions and has 26 touchdowns rushing
Jack Miller leads the team in tackles with 72 and has two punt blocks and 3 quarterback sacks
Offensive keys to winning:
Dance with what brought you. Continue to run the ball as the Warriors have 4,851 yards on the ground on 614 carries on the season. Toss in a Zechman pass now and then to the defense wary as he completed 5 of 7 passes for 62 yards and two scores against Neumann-Goretti. Be Physical upfront and stay technically sound. Must avoid turnovers as they turned it over three times in last year’s game.
Defensive Keys to winning: Control of the line of scrimmage on defense. Avoid giving up the big play as Landon Alexander rushed for over 200 yards against Central including a 98 yard sprint for Central Valley.
