Township WR Landon Kennel makes his early decision, will become a MU Hawk

One of the biggest pressures on a recruit is worrying about making a huge impression during your senior season. For those lucky enough, they don’t have to have that added pressure. Landon Kennel is such a player. Instead of the added pressure, he’ll be pressure free as today he’s announced he’s committing to the Monmouth program. He announced his decision on twitter:
We caught up with Landon to ask him about his decision:
PFN: Why did you choose to commit to Monmouth before your senior season?
I wanted to have a home secured so I can enjoy and cherish my last year of hs football without worrying about college.
PFN: Who was your biggest influence there. , who recruited you?
Coach KCal, the receivers coach
PFN: What are they getting in player like you?
A player that’s going to be the hardest worker on the field and give you 100% on every play
PFN: What was the recruiting process like for you?
It was definitely a rollercoaster
PFN: Do you know what you’d like to study?
I am not sure yet
PFN: What role did your parents play in your decision?
They told me that they were going to support wherever I want to go
PFN: What do you think is the most exciting thing about the program?
The coaching staff is incredible
PFN: What are you most looking forward to while playing for them?
Hopefully lots of touchdowns
PFN: Who is the person who most influenced you in your football career?
My dad and my trainer (Neal Cameron)
Why do you play football?
Because I absolutely love the game
What would you do to improve the recruiting process?
Coaches should trust their eyes rather then put so much emphasis on testing
