Name: Jeremiah Davis

School: Lewisburg Area High School

Class: 2025

Positions played: running back, kick returner

The Green Dragons finished the 2023 season with a 6-6 record. Which win will you remember the most? Explain:

I’d probably remember our win against Bloomsburg the most; it was our homecoming game, ended in a blowout, and was really our first statement game saying that we could be playoff contenders.

Who was the best team you guys faced last season, along with the reasons that made them the best?

In all honesty, even though they weren’t the best team we played against from a record standpoint, they were by far the most physical team we played against this season, and they were really disciplined and fast at filling holes, making them really difficult to play against.

What has been your biggest moment as an athlete?

My biggest moment as an athlete was being named First Team All State as a freshman, because not many people can say they’ve accomplished that.

What has been your most embarrassing moment as an athlete?

My most embarrassing moment was definitely throwing a pretty bad interception on a toss pass against Mifflinburg.

What road game do you look the least forward to, along with the reason why?

I always look the least forward to going to Shamokin; it’s just a long drive, and it’s just long enough that I fall asleep like five minutes before we get there.

Who is the one team you want to beat the most? Explain

Definitely Danville. We’ve found ourselves in close first-half games with them again and again but have struggled in the second half. It’s been like that my whole life, so they’re definitely something I want to beat.

What did you learn about yourself that you will take into the 2024 season to make you a better player?

I learned that I’m at my best when I’m going full speed to the line on handoffs and trusting myself to make the moves as I go, so I’m definitely just learning to trust myself more.

Do you feel that you and your teammates are role models to the younger kids that come and watch you play?

Yes, our coach does a good job of getting us involved with the youth in our community. Just like they come to our games and support us, we try to make it to a couple of theirs each season.

Where should the state finals be held?

I personally think they should be held in Beaver Stadium. Cumberland Valley is definitely a really nice complex, though.

Should private and public schools have their own playoffs and state finals?

I think it really depends on the number of out-of-area transfers. Maybe a certain amount should equal playing in a different bracket.

What is your favorite subject or class?

Definitely, English always has been.

Who are your favorite and least favorite pro football teams?

I love the Jets and Florida State because of family ties; I always hate the Patriots, though.

What is your favorite music genre?

Definitely R&B. I like listening to classical music before games, though, to calm me down.

Xbox or Playstation?

Playstation all the way.

What was the last book you read along with the author?

The last book I read was Art or War by Sun Tzu.
