2020 PFN Team Previews: The United Lions

Last year the Lions were hit hard by numbers and injuries. An already thin team, injuries reduced Kevin Marabito’s roster to a size that he and school officials felt posed a danger to the health of players not yet ready for varsity play. The Lions were forced to cancel several games. Head Coach Kevin Marabito feels confident that the numbers he has this year will prevent forfeits, if they can stay healthy. Here is the preview for the 2020 United Lions:

Key Newcomers
We have a very good group of Freshman coming up this year that many could compete for playing time.
What does your offense need to improve on from last year? *(Please let us know the keys about your team on offense. What are your keys to having a successful year?) We need to stay away from injuries. We return a good group of players from a rough year of only having 15-18 players and then losing some to injuries. As always we will need to keep it simple and players will have to learn more than one position.
What does your defense need to improve on from last year * We need to stay away from injuries and develop depth in all positions. Last year was very difficult on defense because of lack of numbers and many players playing out of position. We feel that we can be very competitive because of the experience we have coming back.
