LET’S GET TO KNOW CAMRON

Why do you play football?

I play football because the experience you have is something you will never feel again, the family and brotherhoods you make during this sport is incredible and a feeling I wish I could keep forever. It’s always been my dream to play football at a competitive level because as a kid I wasn’t aloud to play and when I was aloud back in 5th grade because I was already bigger then everyone I would only be a linemen but I knew I could be something more and I wait til Jr High and was able to grow quite a bit and be able to become a WR and that year I will never forget is the season I really did fall in love with that sport.

Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?

Odell Beckham Jr, He’s my favorite sports star because of the adversity he had to face time and time again after being traded and then whenever he was on the Rams in the Super Bowl he tore his ACL but knew he could make a comeback and now is looking to make his return this season.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:

Yes, It was my sophomore year and it was the first round of playoffs we were playing River Valley at home. They were up by only 2 with a minute left to go it was 4th and 2 and we had the ball, the coaches trusted me and believed in me that I would make the catch for the first down and the ball was snapped and I caught the ball barely keeping my feet in but good enough for the first down. We then punched it in for a touchdown and to win the game.

What was last years season like for you?

Last season was a great season in my opinion for me and a good learning step for my upcoming senior season. I learned a lot last season on how to become the next leader on this team and a player that kids can look up at and be comfortable with asking me questions or advice in the game of football.

What are your goals for this coming season?

My goals are to win Districts and to be able to go learn and grow from being a team captain and leader also.

What stadium, HS/college/pro would you love to visit for a game?

Lincoln Financial Field

What is your favorite Pro team, any sport?

Philadelphia Eagles

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?

The Eagles v.s The Patriots/Super Lll

What would you do to improve the recruiting process?

I would say to let the recruiters have more time to be able to talk to their recruits and show them why their college is the best fit

Describe what the perfect teammate is

Leadership, Responsibility, Determination, Tough, Selflessness

Tell everyone why you think football is good for a community

I know football is great for our community because every Friday night under the lights we have the whole town come to watch out games to cheer and support their eagles. They all know what Bald Eagle can do on the field and how good of a team they can become throughout the season.

Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?

Hurdle someone, I always see videos of people hurdling right over tacklers in games and just makes me think I could but with my size I’m not sure if that would ever happen.

Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?

Tre Greene, he was a close friend of mine and I’m the field he was a leader and an amazing athlete that made me really want to step up to become a leader this year now thats he’s gone.

What is your favorite practice drill? What is your least favorite practice drill?

My favorite drill is high point balls because I love just jumping as high as I can to catch the ball. My least favorite drill to do would have to be 8 cone drill where at every cone you would have to cut and make a full circle around the cone until you could go to the next one then you would have to sprint right after the 8th cone and catch a ball.

Preseason Two a Days are:

August 14th-18th

Is there anyone in your family, besides your parents, you could consider your biggest fan? Who, Why?

My pap, because he always ask about my games and always cheers me on recently these past years he hasn’t been able to come because of his health but I always here and he always tells me he’s at home watching it on his TV on youtube yelling at the screen if there’s a bad call and cheers if he sees me get a touchdown. He will always be one of my biggest fans and I would do anything for my pap to be able to watch me play for still a couple years and to hopefully be able to come out to one of my senior season games so I can hug in in my pads and tell him I love him.

When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?
