Head coach Don Fyfe says “Grady is an outstanding football player with an amazing work ethic. He has been a starter since his freshmen year. We are excited to have him for 2 more years. This season offensively he will be used in the slot, at RB, and also a package at QB. Defensively he will be moved around there also. Has the ability, attitude, and work ethic to play and be successful at the next level”.

Why do you play football?

I love playing the sport and enjoy the thrill that comes with it.

Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?

Saquan Barkley. I looked up to him through my youth and loved watching him play and loved his work ethic.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:

In 6th grade we were up by 3 against Penn Cambria and we were trying to run time off the clock. I got the handed off and broke it for a 70 yard touchdown to close out the game and clinched a spot in the championship.

What was last years season like for you?

An eye opening season for me. It showed me things would not be easy and things would not be given to me. That it has to be earned through hard work.

What are your goals for this coming season?

My goals are having a winning season and making a run in the playoffs.

Who is the best player you ever lined up against?

Penn Cambria-Garrett Harrold

What stadium, HS/college/pro would you love to visit for a game?

Beaver Stadium but I can’t imagine any place better

What is your favorite Pro team, any sport?

Pittsburgh Steelers

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?

2016 NCAA basketball finals when Villanova beat North Carolina on a buzzer beaters shot. It was the best shot in NCAA finals history.

Describe what the perfect teammate is

A teammate who communicates well and who doesn’t point fingers. Also a teammate that pushes you to be the best you can be.

Tell everyone why you think football is good for a community

Pulls everyone together on a Friday night.

Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?

Win a State championship.

Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?

My dad. He has taught me everything I know and everything that I do. He has led me to were I am now.

What is your favorite practice drill? What is your least favorite practice drill?

Preseason Two a Days are: 

Amazing, love them because you get to bond with teammates and the food that is provided is great.

Is there anyone in your family, besides your parents, you could consider your biggest fan? Who, Why?

My sister, Delaney, she goes to all my games and sits through all the bad games and the good ones.

When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?

Hunting and fishing.

What is your favorite football memory to date?

First varsity start as a freshman and had 3 TFLs and an interception.

What is your favorite play to run?

Buck Sweep

What is your favorite vacation destination?

Fishing/bow fishing in the Chesapeake bay.

Do you remember what the first football game you saw was?

When my dad was a varsity football head coach. We would go to every game back when I was 5. That is when I fell in love with the game of football.
