LET’S GET TO KNOW TYLER

Why do you play football?

I play for my family, my town, the fans, and my brothers on and off the field. I love the atmosphere and the adrenaline that football brings to the table. I also see the future that could possibly come with football.

Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?

I love Mike Tyson because he is a man that only fears God, and no one else. His one quote that will stick with me forever is “Everyone has a plan till’ they get punched in the mouth.”

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:

We had this one play where a tight end like me would block for a couple seconds, and then peel off and catch a pass. That one was a fun play to run.

What was last years season like for you?

The 22-23 season was a tough one. We made it through together as brothers though. Our team went 2-8, which was disappointing for everyone. That season though is when I started to get some colleges looking at me such as Youngstown State, Duquesne, Kent State, and many more.

What are your goals for this coming season?

My goals for the 23-24 season would be to have over 100 tackles as an ILB or DE, and I want to score as many touchdowns as I can being a tight end. Most importantly though, I’d love to receive some D1 offers.

Who is the best player you ever lined up against?

N/A

What stadium, HS/college/pro would you love to visit for a game?

I’d love to go somewhere down south, such as Texas or Tennessee.

What is your favorite Pro team, any sport?

Pittsburgh Penguins

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?

I like watching the Pitt vs West Virginia rivalry games. So many people show up to them and the atmosphere is wild.

What would you do to improve the recruiting process?

I would get rid of the portal, it’s ruining so many high-schoolers chances to go to bigger schools.

Describe what the perfect teammate is

Well there’s no such thing as perfect, but a GREAT teammate will have your back no matter what the circumstance, that teammate will make big plays, but that teammate will also stay humble.

Tell everyone why you think football is good for a community

Football brings random kids together that don’t even know each other, and builds them into brothers. It’s a game that teaches kids discipline, hard work, team work, and much more.

Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?

I’d love to be in a game that if I caught a winning touchdown and won a million dollars, I’d donate most of it to kids/families in need.

Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?

My mentor is my Dad, he pushes me everyday to be better than everyone else. He teaches me how to be the best man I can possibly be in life. He’s always spotting me when I lift, he’s at my games, he’s just always there for me in any circumstance. If success comes my way in the football world, I owe it to my dad for helping me the whole way.

What is your favorite practice drill? What is your least favorite practice drill?

My favorite would be any type of bag drill, my least favorite is probably gonna have to be what we call “bird dog” when lineman take their read steps, base steps, etc.

Preseason Two a Days are:

Challenging

Is there anyone in your family, besides your parents, you could consider your biggest fan? Who, Why?

All of my grandparents and aunts/uncles. They all support me in their own way.

When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?

I like to bike ride, work on machines, and hangout with neighbors/friends.

What is your favorite football memory to date?

My favorite memory is when I got my chance to play as a sophomore on the varsity team vs Keystone Oaks. That’s where my career really started. it was probably one of my best games I had that year, because after that game is when colleges started looking at me.

What is your favorite play to run?

I like running Pop Pass, when I run a seam as a tight end.

is a hot dog a sandwich?

Absolutely not

Music of choice:

Old Rock

Best thing you ever got from a teammate? Why?

N/A

Best Pizza topping?

Pepperoni

Which one? Sheetz or Wawa

Sheetz

What is your favorite vacation destination?

I love Marco Island, Florida. I also love Delaware.

Do you remember what the first football game you saw was?

I believe the first ever game I saw was when I was 5 years old on my grandmas TV. It was a Steeler game.
