Led team in interceptions as a junior will also be one of our wings on offense and a backup at qb.

Which side of the ball do you think you are best at?

I enjoy playing Defense more because I like how physical it is.

What have you been able to accomplish during the off-season that you will put to use this year to be even better?

I worked on my speed a quickness a lot more. I go to coach Montecalvo’s speed camp and it has helped me in more ways than one.

What are your personal goals for the season as well as the top goals for your team?

My goals are to allow 0 passing touchdowns at corner while also having 5 interceptions. I also wanna be a leader for the team.

If you could pick one new team for McGuffey to play for, who would it be, along with the reason you picked that team?

Nobody

Do you feel that you and your teammates are role models to the young kids who come and root for you?

Absolutely we take great pride in trying to build the future of not only McGuffey football but McGuffey school district as a whole. We try and demonstrate to the kids important lessons to help them succeed whenever they are our age.

Where should the state finals be held?

Lincoln Financial Stadium in Philadelphia

Out of all the road games you have played, which stadium was the worst to play in, along with the reason that made it so bad?

laurel High School because the locker rooms were a mile away and the grass was in terrible condition. It also rained the day of our game so the field was all wet.

Do you think that McGuffey is overlooked when it comes to state rankings and players being invited to some of the All-Star games because you guys are so close to West Virginia?

Not really, I think we are definitely overlooked and not talked about enough but I don’t think it’s because we are close to West Virginia. I feel it’s more because we are a small school and not as many people have heard about us.

Speaking of all-star games, what would it mean to you to get an invite to the Big 33 game or the East vs. West game?

it would mean a lot, getting the opportunity to compete with the best of the best in the area while also learning from them would be an incredible honor.

Who is the best player you have ever faced, along with the team he played for?

Ruben Gordon from Wash High. He was fast and it was tough to cover him all game.

What has been the highlight of your athletic career?

Beating Wash high last season after falling behind 21-3, then winning 43-24

The coach tells you to pick a play to run. What play are you running?

Flex R Power Split, I get to run the ball right down the middle

What is your favorite book?

Urban Meyers Above the Line. It teaches how to be a leader, how to build a program, and life lessons about coaching. I wanna be a coach when I grow up so this book is helping me prepare for that.

What toppings and crust make your perfect pizza?

I don’t like Pizza

If you could pick any period in time to live in, what period would it be?

1980s everyone was just running around having fun, living their best life with no worries at all.
