LET’S GET TO KNOW BRYCE

How long have you been playing football, and why do you continue to play?

This will be my sixth year playing football, and I play it because it’s something that I really enjoy doing.

What is your favorite part of playing football for Penn-Trafford?

My favorite thing is the culture that we have here. We have a history of success and I’m grateful to be apart of it.

Do you have any game day superstitions?

I don’t really have any superstitions. I usually sit at the same seat during team dinner. The main key for me is staying loose.

How will your role and style change this year compared to last?

I feel like this year with me being a returning starter, I have to be a more vocal leader of the team and guide the younger guys in the right direction.

What are some of your goals for the 2025 season?

The first goal for us is to win the section. We’ve had a couple-year drought and I feel like this is the team that can get the program back in the section champion column.

What is the greatest piece of advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice I received from my dad was to control what you can control and don’t let the results of something you can’t control ruin your sanity.

Who is your biggest motivation?

My biggest motivation is making my family proud whether it be on the field or in the classroom.

How do you think being a multi-sport athlete helps you succeed in football?

Baseball and football combine for a good combination because football gives that competitor mentality and baseball is very good for hand-eye coordination. They both help each other and overall make me a better athlete.

How do you deal with any nerves or anxiety before a game?

I tend to get butterflies before a game, but I’ve learned to embrace the nervousness because you can use it to your advantage.

What’s the biggest sports-related obstacle you’ve had to overcome?

I’d say breaking my collarbone going into my sophomore year. I was out for the whole summer and didn’t come back until week 1 so that was pretty tough for me.

How do you spend your time when not playing football?

I really enjoy hanging out with my friends and going out to eat. We usually have fires and just talk about life. It’s a good time.

If you were to choose any person (alive or dead) to come to one of your games, who would it

be?

I would say Mike Webster because we play the same position and he wasn’t a very big guy, which is very similar to me.

What’s your favorite sports movie?

My favorite sports movie is for sure Moneyball. I grew up watching it and it’s also based off a true story which I really like.

If you were to play in any stadium (high school, college, or pro), which would you choose?

A stadium that I would really enjoy would be Lane Stadium for sure. Hearing Entersandman walking into the stadium has to be one of the coolest feelings.

Is there a specific pre-game meal you love?

I’m pretty simple with my pregame meal. My favorite is spaghetti and salad with two Gatorades. I get a bunch of carbs and electrolytes in my system before the game.

What are three words to describe your attitude towards football?

Love, Dedication, Family (These guys I play with are like my family)
