What does your offense need to improve on from last year? |
We lost a three year starter at quarterback so anytime that happens, you have to start from scratch with a young or inexperienced player. We’ve had four players competing for the starting job all summer and each has done a great job competing with and pushing each other. If we can find the right guy to lead us on Friday nights, the other weapons and big fellas are in place to continue our offensive consistency. |
What does your defense need to improve on from last year |
We need to play defense with more passion, emotion, and controlled agression. We need to be as passionate about stopping teams as we are about scoring points. Again, we have the players and a renewed defensive mindset will lead to improvement. |
What are your overall thoughts on this years team? |
As a first year head coach, I could not be anymore fortunate than what I am right now with the amount of talent that is returning in 2019. In this day and age in coaching it’s common to see coaches bolt when the cupboard is empty. I have so much respect for Coach Waz for stepping down when the amount of talent returning is arguably the best he would have had in his second stint of being our head coach. We had a great summer of work and if we parlay all of the potential into tremendous performances then we will have a special year. |
