What does your offense need to improve on from last year? |
Offensively we need to focus on sustaining drives and putting points on the score board. Also every player has to make the plays when they have the opportunity. Last year we “just missed” on quite a few plays that probably cost us some more wins. |
What does your defense need to improve on from last year |
Defensively now we are in the second year of the same system. We should be able to be a faster, more physical, defense due to the players having a good understanding of our terminology and philosophies. We need to focus on being a better tackling team overall as well. |
What are your overall thoughts on this years team? |
Our roster is down in numbers this year. We will have about 24-25 players on the varsity roster between both schools. However, most all of these players gained valuable experience last year. We have a good group of seniors this year that are real leaders. I believe their leadership will take us to greater heights as a team. Also we must stay healthy this year, with a small roster we can’t afford a bunch of injuries. If we can stay healthy, this team should improve on our finish of a year ago. |
