STANDFORD COMMIT: ARTICLE HERE
Coach says: “Josh was very busy this off season with recruiting, school play, Class President, training and he made it all look so easy. That is the way Josh plays, he makes the tough blocks look so easy. We are looking forward for him to have a great year and lead our Offensive Line. Josh will continue his college career at Stanford University and will be a great fit to their program”.
LET’S GET TO KNOW JOSH
Why do you play football?
I love being a dominating O-Line guy. I am a 6’4, ~310 lbs, explosive 12.8 sec 100M T/G O Line dedicated to making my team have a dominate O Line.
Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?
Steph Curry – he is the GOAT like I aspire to be on the O-Line
Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:
Outside zone, because it allows me to showcase my athleticism and it usually works
What was last years season like for you?
I worked my tail off before the season attending D1 camps, lifting like crazy, putting in extra night and weekend O-line special training to get better. I never expected to gain the Power-5 recognition with getting at least 2-3 offers from each Power-5 Football conference plus dozens other program offering me a scholarship or having serious interest.
What are your goals for this coming season?
Help my team win the Inter-Act, get 1% better each day or week; be a vocal and performance leader on my team.
Who is the best player you ever lined up against?
Imotep’s Jasier Whittington (Pitt Freshman) who i went against many times first game of season September 2023.
What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?
The 2023 Penn State White Out experience has to be one of the best games because of their special environment and my entire family got to experience that game with me on the sidelines for pre game.
Describe what the perfect teammate is
A perfect teammate works like a dog, dedicates himself to extra hours in the gym or working on his area, and loves football first more than any other sports they play.
Tell everyone why you think football is good for a community
Football teaches our community to become used to working and performing with others regardless of their background or ethnicity or race. Working with other races skill is crucial in almost every aspect of life.
Preseason Two a Days are:
Time to get better
When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?
I love anime. I started collecting anime and watching anime at age 6 years old, 12 years ago, 2012, and have the largest collection of statues and collectibles of anyone I’ve ever met that follows anime.
What is your favorite play to run?
Outside zone run
Best Pizza topping?
Buffalo Chicken
What is your favorite vacation destination?
