DOWN THE STRECH THEY COME
As we near the end of the high school football regular season the top of the table is getting tighter putting the regular season title of the ProTime’s Pick’em Challenge clearly in the sites of half of our panel. Sadly Bossman Billy has retained his lead with 72 correct guesses, three wins back are Alex and yours truly, lurking just four back is the OG Protime Phil and don’t count out Hollywood, Matt or Mayhem, who will be seeking perfection to catch the Bossman. The battle to the bottom and possible relegation pits Mason Dawg and Dan, with Dan just a mere one correct pick more than Mason Dawg.
This week’s slate of games features what will be the battle for the 6A number one seed in District 1. Central Bucks South will visit historic War Memorial Stadium to take on rival Central Bucks West Friday night. The writers’ panel has made CBWest the overwhelming favorite with all but two of the panel picking West. Whichever team prevails will take the cherished number one seed in the D1 6A tournament, assuring themselves home field advantage for the duration of the playoffs. On the other end of the spectrum, Bellefonte (0-8) visits Huntington (1-7) for bragging rights. The panel is split down the middle on this pick, the outcome of this game will be a big deciding factor in the Challenge standings.
