High school football is back folks! As we head into the 2024 season, let’s first look at the Suburban One League National Conference. There has been a different Champ each year over the last three seasons. CB West went undefeated in conference play, however, they lost to eventual District Champion CB South in the Semi-finals 42-14. Will a dark horse emerge, or does the path continue to go through Central Bucks?

Season Outlook:
“Offense: The key on offense this year starts with the offensive line. We must be able to consistently open up holes for Carter Clee and the rest of the running backs, while also keeping our pressure off our quarterback when we pass the ball.
Defense: The key on defense this season is the defensive line. When stopping the run, we must win our gaps while keeping the opponent’s offensive lineman off the Linebackers. On pass plays we must make the Quarterback uncomfortable and make big plays when needed.
Special Team: Senior Kicker and Punter Kaden Nicastro should provide us with a lot of consistency on special teams. He has a strong leg, and this is his third year kicking and punting for us. The key to being good on special teams is finding a reliable short and long snapper to get him the ball.” –HC Steve Wilmot

Defense: Defensively, Trevor Fuhs and Ryan Rowe will anchor what should be a solid LB group. Chase Marshall will lead our secondary starting his 3rd season at CB. We will look to several new players to step up at key positions this season as well.
Special Teams: Trevor Fuhs and Cade Bachman will return at Long snapper and Holder. We will look to Luis Nunes to handle the bulk of the kicking duties this season. We also have several candidates who will look to make an impact in the return game as well.” -Assistant Football Coach Sean Pelosi

Season Outlook:
“Overall: The SOL is one of the best in all of PA, so the competition bar is always high. Last season, the point differential in our losses was 5.6 points so we need to find a way to win the close games. The team is hungry to get back to the playoffs.
Offense: Christian Taormina and Connor Rodriguez will anchor the OL with Connor Simkiss providing great experience and blocking skills at Tight End. We have solid depth at WR and a number of RB’s that will compete for time.
Defense: Defensively, we look to build on our success of last year as we only allowed 13.5 ppg. Logan and Connor Simkiss return as our leding tacklers and are the leaders of the D. Joey Craig and Timmy Fuhrmeister return with solid experience from last season. Several newcomers at all three levels that will compete.
Special Team: Craig and Wojnicki will battle it out for the kicking duties. They might end up splitting some of them. Time will tell. We have several strong returners and our long/short snapers are solid.” -HC John Donnelly
