“We had a really great offseason, and look to carry that into a great season. We will have approximately 50 players on the roster this year. We are returning starters all over the field, and have players who have returned after not playing. We are in a tough region, but we’re expected to compete in every game and make it two years in a row of playoff football at CASH. Mason Stone will take over at QB this year and has been extremely impressive in practice last year and this offseason. Wyatt Luke is a force at WR/RB/QB/DB at 6-4, 210, and will be a big part of our season. Drew Dygert and TJ Wallace return to anchor the offensive line. Coach Comments
“We need to create a competitive and physical atmosphere in our program. We need to create competition in every situation, so that our players are prepared to compete on every play. This competitiveness will make our players ready to tackle downhill/physical challenges in every game. With many players returning from last year, we anticipate that this will increase their confidence in themselves and their teammates. This should result in them adopting an attitude that leads to more physical play in all three aspects of the game. Offensively, we need to run the football. We will utilize multiple formations to create angles and advantages for our initial run, followed by play-action, screens, and our passing game to make our offense difficult to defend. Defensively, we will use multiple fronts to create advantages where we can play downhill/physical football, play-in, and play-out. Our special teams need to create an advantage. We will use multiple ways to do this as an additional way in offensive and defensive situations.”
