ProTime Phil-Bossman Billy-Mayhem at the Top of the Table
After a disastrous week for both the PROs and the JOEs, our prognosticators hope to redeem themselves with a huge turnaround in week three. However, there was one guesser that stood out among the pikers; representing the Joes, Wiley was successful in selecting 15 winners. The Joe’s as a group did not have any games they totally whiffed on, the same cannot be said for the Pros. The Pros had eight games where they were unanimous in their selections, while the track record of unanimous picks has never been great, as the saying goes in betting, “everyone is never right.” The Pros had eight games that they were on agreement with, in those games the Pros went 3-5.
Heading into week #3 ProTime Phil, along with Bossman Billy and Mayhem are tied for the lead of the ProTime Pick’em Challenge. Certainly, there is no surprise that ProTime Phil, the two-time defending champion is on top or that the Bossman who always starts fast then fades away sits along side ProTime, then there is Mayhem. The King of the SOL, Mayhem has left his comfort zone of the Suburban One League to become a Commonwealth wide savant, who intends to knock ProTime Phil off of high perch and take the Challenge title this year.
This week’s docket contains some interesting early season matchups. West Chester Rustin (#5 5 A) travels to Pope John Paul II (#4 4A) for a Saturday morning tilt. Rustin will be tested in their PAC and ChesMont crossover games with future games against both Downingtowns. The Pros all pick Rustin, which after last weeks mess, bodes well for PJPII. Stroudsburg visits Bethlehem Liberty, to battle it out in the Poconos. Out west Beaver invades Imani, while Red Bank Valley visits Port Allegany.
Good luck to all our guessers!
